The artists formerly known as Ealaionta are now operating under the moniker Pay the Reckoning! Let's face it, you won't get much word-of-mouth advertising if the public can't pronounce or spell your name. Using an Irish word meaning artistic for the name of a traditional Irish band seemed like a good idea at the time, but with almost unilateral confusion and bewilderment at the spelling and pronunciation of Ealaionta, we decided it was time to reinvent ourselves as Pay the Reckoning.
Following a tradition among Celtic ensembles, we have taken the name of a standard Irish jig. We hope this will allow those who appreciate and admire our music to tell their friends about us without hesitation over the spelling or pronunciation.
We are still playing the same great traditional Irish music on acoustic instruments. We are available to play for festivals, private parties, wedding services, wedding receptions, dinners, or any event where quality pure-drop traditional Irish music is wanted.
